BEFORE: Built in 1919, this small automobile body is a simple brick cube of 20m by 10m, topped with a steel tray. A micro window on the street and above all a long skylight illuminate the space with a large sliding garage door for the only opening to the outside. The interior layout is basic, toilets, a water point, a small office and a mezzanine in a corner of the surface to store equipment.
AFTER: Six months of work and a roof cutout later, a loft with patio was born. The plastic of the glass roof has given way to wired glass, the modernized garage door opens onto a garage cube lit with old-fashioned glazing, also in wired glass. The 90m2 living room and two bedrooms are widely open onto the patio, two mezzanines offer a guest bedroom and two office spaces.
